We Believe
As a member congregation of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, we respond to the love of God the Holy Trinity and try to share that love with "...all who are thirsty...." The essential elements of Christian Faith are summarized in the Apostles' Creed: God the Father is creator of all that exists. God the Son is Jesus Christ who became human to live, suffer, and die for the sins of all people and to rise again in victory over death and the devil. God the Holy Spirit brings us into a relationship with Jesus using the Word and Sacraments.
GRACE ALONE
We believe that salvation is a free gift from a gracious God, and we can do nothing to earn our salvation. "That it is by grace that we are saved, through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
FAITH ALONE
We believe the gift of eternal life and salvation is based entirely on God's grace, through faith in Jesus Christ. (John 14:6, 1 Corinthians 12:3)
SCRIPTURE ALONE
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, completely trustworthy, written in human language to provide us what we need for life today and in eternity. (Romans 10:17, 2 Timothy 3:14-16, Hebrews 4:12)
CHRIST ALONE
"That we cannot by our own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ our Lord, or come to Him; but the Holy Ghost has called us by the Gospel, enlightened us with His gifts, sanctified and keeps us in the truth faith." That God communicates all of the gifts of His grace to us by way of His means of grace ~ His Word and Sacraments (Holy Baptism and The Lord's Supper).
